    We are currently recruiting for a Financial Planning practice in Hendon who are looking to recruit a Paraplanner.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paraplanner to join a growing financial services practice with an outstanding local reputation, located in Hendon.

    They are a long established company with a focus on delivering meaningful advice to help private clients and professionals, companies, and trustees plan for their present risks and needs as well as the future. They often provide intergenerational advice including Inheritance Tax mitigation. They encourage a collaborative culture where staff are valued and the work environment is positive.

    As a Paraplanner with, you will be passionate about providing high quality financial advice and ongoing support to our clients. The successful candidate will understand and appreciate the importance of relationship building. This position will play an important role in their company and has come about as a result of investment in company growth.

    Role:

    • To provide full technical support to the IFA team: Chartered Financial Planners and Financial Advisers
    • Carry out in depth product research and analysis to prepare a comprehensive financial planning report and identify opportunities throughout the process
    • Undertake research both independently and with an IFA to identify suitable solutions to meet clients' needs and objectives
    • Maintain good time management and effective organisation ensuring that tasks are prioritised where needed
    • Dealing with wrap platforms and product providers to obtain information about existing and potential investments
    • Undertake reviews of client portfolios and compile annual suitability reports
    • Use FE Analytics to research and analyse performance, volatility and risk for portfolios/funds
    • Prepare cash flow plans for clients and incorporate system outputs into reports and assist with their presentation in client meetings
    • Carry out tax calculations to ensure correct advice is given, where appropriate
    • Assist with the preparation of client meetings, emails, letters and documentation as part of the advice process
    • Handle client queries and help service existing clients on a daily basis
    • Maintain awareness of legislative changes and product developments by undertaking suitable CPD activities e.g. attending seminars/workshops
    • Maintain good quality relationships with colleagues, providers and clients alike

    Ideal candidate:

    • Previous industry experience as a Paraplanner with technical report writing experience within an IFA firm
    • At least Diploma Level 4 qualified. Advanced level exams in investments and pensions will be an advantage, along with working towards Chartered status
    • Can demonstrate a sound technical knowledge of the financial services industry across a full range of investments, pensions, retirement solutions, protection and IHT planning
    • Experience of wrap platforms and main tax wrappers
    • Excellent written/verbal communications skills, as well as organisation skills
    • Experienced in supporting advisers with a range of tasks, including correspondence with product providers and clients, researching products and writing suitability reports, as well as providing support to team members
    • Good interpersonal skills to be able to work alongside a friendly team of dedicated individuals
    • Able to use own initiative and has a 'can do' work ethic
    • Ability to cope well in a busy working environment and manage own case load
