We are recruiting an experienced, Level 4 Diploma-qualified Paraplanner on behalf of an established financial planning firm, based in Worthing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable paraplanner to join a professional and friendly team, supporting financial advisers in delivering tailored financial planning solutions and high standards of client service.

We are looking for someone with strong technical abilities, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to research and write complex financial planning reports. Experience working within a pooled paraplanning system would be particularly beneficial.

The Role

Working closely with financial advisers and support teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and maintaining accurate client files.
  • Researching, preparing and documenting financial planning recommendations.

  • Conducting investment product research and due diligence.
  • Supporting investment committee processes.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to financial advisers.
  • Researching and reviewing available financial products.
  • Supporting colleagues and helping coach new starters where appropriate.
  • Providing additional support to the paraplanning team as required.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working in a paraplanning role.
  • A Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience preparing annual reviews and recommendation reports.
  • Strong technical knowledge and the ability to produce complex, well-written reports.
  • A thorough understanding of financial services compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload.
  • Strong research, analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work.

Experience working within a pooled paraplanning system is highly desirable. Knowledge of Intelligent Office, CashCalc, Genovo, FE Analytics or similar financial planning software would also be beneficial.

Previous supervisory or management experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position based in Worthing, with hybrid working available following an initial training period.

The preference is for the successful candidate to work in the office at least three days per week once fully trained. During the initial training and induction period, daily office attendance may be required, so candidates should be comfortable commuting to the Worthing office regularly.

What’s on Offer?

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
  • Hybrid working following initial training.
  • A relaxed, friendly and modern working environment.
  • Long-term career prospects and progression opportunities.
