    Description

    We are currently recruiting for Chartered Financial Planning firm based in Harpenden who are looking for a Paraplanner to join their team. This role can be flexible with home working

    They look after over 160 Wealth Management Families and 50 financial planning and Investment strategy clients. They are serious about enabling our team to be the best they can be and will pay for all training towards exams and allow study leave where appropriate. All their advisers are Chartered Financial Planners as a minimum requirement and play and active role in the Paraplanning and adviser community.

    The role

    The role of the Paraplanner is to support the Financial Planner(s) when informing and advising Clients on financial strategies, plans and products.

    Key Contributions and Outputs

    • Supporting the Financial Planner(s) in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives
    • Supporting the Financial Planner(s) in preparing client financial plans and suitability reports
    • Attending client meetings supporting the Financial Planner(s) such as taking minutes, explaining technical details, form completion and follow up action points.
    • To be a specialist (Go to person) for a specific business area
    • Developing and maintaining internal relationships to help maintain business flow and meet agreed targets
    • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally
    • Contributing to the smooth running of the paraplanning administrative function within the business
    • Working collaboratively with the Head of Paraplanning and Client Services Manager to develop and improve systems and processes where necessary, to help deliver the high standards expected of the clients
    • Where necessary, attend regular business meetings such as adviser, investment committee & support meetings

    The role holder is responsible for:

    •  The technical aspects of preparing for Client meetings, including:

    o Preparing and compiling financial analysis data
    o Analysing Client data and preparing cash flow analyses
    o Preparing CGT and Chargeable Gains calculations
    o Researching products to support recommendations
    o Compiling financial planning recommendations and suitability reports to a high standard
    o Providing support for the Financial Planner(s)
    o Ensuring that all regulatory and compliance standards are met
    o Liaising with product providers and other relevant third parties
    o Ensuring that all Client requirements are followed through to the appropriate conclusion

    •  Assisting the Financial Planner(s) with Client presentations and any other activities as agreed
    •  Managing individual workflow and task delivery
    •  Undertake annual technical reviews, due diligence of services and products.

    You will have to be Level 4 qualified to be considered for this position.
