Paraplanning Manager

Harpenden, Hertfordshire

Salary: £65,000-£70,000

We are seeking an experienced Paraplanning Manager to lead and develop our paraplanning function in Harpenden. This is a senior role for someone who combines strong technical expertise with proven leadership and people-management skills.

The Role

As Paraplanning Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality paraplanning support to advisers, managing workflows, and ensuring technical excellence and compliance across the team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and mentoring a team of paraplanners
• Overseeing the preparation and quality of suitability reports and financial planning documentation
• Managing workloads, deadlines, and service standards
• Acting as a technical lead and point of escalation
• Supporting process improvements and best practice across the paraplanning function
• Working closely with advisers, compliance, and senior management

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a paraplanning management role
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and wider financial planning
• Proven experience leading, developing, and motivating paraplanning teams
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders
