Location: Richmond (Hybrid Working) Salary: £55,000 per annum + Benefits
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a experienced Paraplanner to join a well-established and growing financial planning firm.
This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced Financial Advisers, providing high-quality technical support and helping to deliver tailored financial planning solutions to clients.
The successful candidate will join a supportive and collaborative team environment, with excellent opportunities for career progression, ongoing training, and support towards Chartered status.
Following an initial training period, the role offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining remote working, office-based collaboration, and in-person meetings depending on business and client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support the preparation of comprehensive financial plans.
- Gather and organise client information, including income, expenditure, assets, and liabilities.
- Use financial planning software to model scenarios and cashflow projections.
- Prepare suitability reports, investment recommendations, and technical research.
- Assist advisers in developing and implementing bespoke financial strategies.
- Research financial products and investment solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Keep abreast of market developments, legislation, and regulatory changes.
About You
You will be a highly organised and analytical professional with strong technical knowledge and a genuine passion for financial planning.
Qualifications
- CII Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent) with substantial paraplanning experience.
- Ambition to progress towards Chartered Financial Planner status (fully supported).
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
Knowledge & Experience
- Good understanding of pensions, investments, personal tax, estate planning, and protection.
- Ability to perform basic tax calculations.
- Proven experience in an established Paraplanning role within a financial planning environment.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end financial planning process.
- Experience with financial planning and back-office systems such as Genovo and/or Intelliflo Office.
Skills
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Team-oriented with a proactive and professional approach.
