    Description

    The Role: to assist in providing administrative and technical support to the Paraplanner(s) within the business.

    Reports To: Paraplanner and Financial Planner

    Key Requirements and Skills:

    • Good team working and liaison skills to deal effectively with tasks set and provide support for other team members
    • An understanding of FCA regulations and guidelines relating to financial services clients
    • Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of products and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internally and externally
    • Good communication skills (written and verbal) that are effective and meet business needs
    • Ability to prioritise and organise own workload
    • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
    • IT skills commensurate with computer packages used including detailed understanding and use of Enable (our CRM tool)
    • Accuracy of work and attention to detail
    • Must be willing to study and pass 2 exams a year until you achieve the CII Diploma

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supporting the Paraplanner(s) and Financial Planner in research and analysis to meet Client needs and objectives
    • Supporting the Paraplanner(s) and Financial Planner in the implementation of new business
    • Contributing to the smooth running of the technical administrative function within the business
    • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally
    • New business submission (including logging of fees and invoices, and issue of latter) and tracking to conclusion - including submission of protection cases
    • Liaising with clients, product providers and other relevant third parties
    • Assisting the Paraplanner(s) with:

    o Preparing paperwork for client meetings

    o Planning and product research

    o Technical filing on to business systems

    • Ensure back offices systems are kept up to date including client and provider data
    • Issue Letters of Authority, chase for policy information, build schedules & put existing policies on the system
    • Produce quotations for life and protection sales
    • Produce O&M reports on straightforward cases on instruction from the Paraplanner
    • Obtaining illustrations and supporting literature on instruction from the Paraplanner
    • Produce suitability letters on straightforward cases on instruction from the Paraplanner
    • Continuous professional development to meet personal development need
    • Be conversant with, and adhere to, Company procedures and policies and the requirements of the FCA Standards and Rules and to implement and maintain procedures as stipulated in accordance with the Rules of the FCA
